Wonderful, Fantastic pics here & on the old thread (& your blog). I've been going to DL since 1955 (opening day as a 7mo old, but hey, it counts!). Many of the pics are before my earliest memories of the park (which is early 60s) but some of them sparked memories I hadn't thought of in years. It seems that the park looks so much smaller (as in things closer together & walkways narrower) in some of those early pics, especially Fantasy- & Frontierlands. Obviously, that can't be true, but I guess my memories through the eyes of myself as a young child made it seem larger. Oddly enough, it seems to have 'grown' as I did because it's not like all of a sudden during a visit I thought, "wow this place got bigger!". Hope that makes some sort of sense. Anyway, thanks soooo much for sharing!
Thanks very much, all!

Renowned imagineers Marc Davis and Claude Coats (front row) taking a test ride on Pinocchio's Daring Journey, new for the 1983 Fantasyland. The two-row configuration vehicles have since been expanded to three rows, but I am not sure officially when.

Thanks for bringing this thread back! I never get tired of looking at old pictures of the park.
I found a few old slides my dad took around 1970. I was surprised how good they scanned for as old and fadded they were.
I kinda miss the maps they used to have for Tom Sawyers Island and notice how brown the water in the River is!

This photo of the subs looks like it must have been taken from the People Mover or Skyway. Another thing I miss.:(

The sea serpent, plastic mermaid and moray eel prop ones in particular are fantastic! Thanks Dave :)
Ahhhh, the REAL Submarine Voyage! Oh, how I miss it!
Although, I will admit that up close, that mermaid is awfully scary looking.
