The "Partners" statue base is a different color and texture now

The second picture looks more speckled. And not in a good way.

Splatter painted and coated with a shiny finish? Yuck, it looked way classier before.

Thanks Ron for the clearer pictures. It now appears to me the base has been texture coated.

Not exact match to the statue base, but you can certainly get an idea of what is possible with paints and coatings.

The title of this thread scared me for a minute!

Was standing in front of it today and to be honest I didn't even notice. So perhaps the picture make the change more apparent. That being said based on the photos I'm thinking cleaned and re-finished versus replaced.

Looks the same to me. Just cleaned and diff lighting. The plaque is the same. You can tell by some of the details and wear, that would not be in the same spot on a new plaque.

The base has been coated. Look at the color vs the Castle Color.

If you look at the texture it is much rougher, and the color is much darker and brownish.

thanks for the day shots guys. so perhaps it was only re-coated with a different paint. but not simply cleaned. there was a mark in my photos that made me think the plaques were different but maybe it was dirt? I'll change the title.

I hope that nobody is legitimately upset at this..

Looks better IMO

I'll reserve my final opinions until I see it in person, but from what I see in the pictures I kind of like it better... the bird poop won't show so easily! :p
