I think what really dropped my jaw was how hUGE it looked flying so low on the horizon... it seemed unbelieveable that something that size and shape could actually FLY!

I was not expecting to be so amazed but it but it was worth the 45 minute wait in our parking lot to see it!!!

i know right!! it as HUGE!! i thought that a jet that size would fly slow.. oh no.. it flew fast, hence why i have no photos and it was right there over my office and i was outside staring at it. I seriously could not get my already fast camera to take a faster photo..

Ok, decided to go to LAX to see it, and looking at the pics and video from DL I am glad I went to LAX. I hung out on Aviation (blvd? road?) by the resturaunt and had such an amazing view. We saw it on the north side of LAX heading south to DL and other places there then it made 1 dry run over the runway and then came around again for the landing. For the first run the police still had everybody smooshed in the sidewalk, but by the second run they had closed the street so we had much more room for pictures. I am only posting a few here (since its a DL thread) but take a look at my Flickr for the rest of what I have uploaded. I will also put a video up later that I took on my phone to Flickr later..... enjoy!

I live right by Moffet field and it was so awesome to see it that close and low to the ground,the engines shook my place...EPIC!

I didn't get any still shots, it flew over so fast without any real warning. I got video tho', which I admit I padded with earlier footage I took of the crowds just so I could include a shot of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Great shot. I love the 1st one with the barbed wire and people shooting cameras over it. It gives me flashes of the Berlin Air Lift WWII photos, but the opposite (shuttle was for "peace", and I think mostly it was, but some kind of juxtaposed feeling in that shot gives it a lot of interesting depth).

Do a black and white version for sure!
