I've been thinking about applying for a job at Disneyland. I go to college about half an hour away and I was wondering if they have shifts flexible for school matters.

yes i assume for a college student they would be.
If life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade. Then find someone who's life has given them vodka and have a party.
I look at you and I see 2 men. The man you are and the man you ought to be. One day those 2 will meet and should make for one hell of a football player!

The sun never sets on the Disney Empire.
I'd go and apply and if they call you for an interview I'd let them know about the school thing and let them take it from there.
They will work with you.
This has been a Filmways presentation dahling.
No, most department schedulers are going with the "we don't schedule around school" BS... even though there is no such policy on paper. Schedulers are only saying that's "policy" because it makes their job easier, basically they are lazy and can't schedule correctly so they have to cop out and screw folks who are going to school.
My department does schedule around school (I'm doing it this semester), because we're specialized and a pretty small department, but a lot of departments are not.
I've heard they don't....but maybe if they ever ramp uo their employee base they will be more flexible.
Good Luck! In my area we have lost over 35 people who had to decide what was more important, School or their job at Disney. Many had to choose their education. It's hard to miss finales just because your scheduled a shift on a day your suppose to have off.

Hey everyone. My names Dane and Im new. Well I was just wondering... does Disney employee just for the summer? If so I thought it might be cool to work there for the summer.
Yes, I believe they do. Welcome to micechatOriginally Posted by DLDan
Thanks. Well Im not from Southern Cali ... so I was thinking of maybe staying with family down in San Juan Capistrano and then work at Disneyland. Im currently living in Northern Cali. I really want to see what its like to work at Disney before I get into college and start studying hospitality / tourisim management. It might be a nice way to see if its something I really want to do.
Well if dealing with people is what you want to do, now's the perfect time to get a job there. Disneyland has been a dense mass of people since the beginning of the 50th celebration and I've heard they're always in need of more cast members.
ok cool thanks![]()
With the new contract that's gonna make an appearance in March, they will make us choose between Disney and our education. (At least for stores).

They've worked with me well. If they schedule me against school, they CAN'T hold me to it for two reasons:
1. It would not be a part of my CR requirements (after 1800 on Fri, fully available Sat/Sun)
2. It would be against my availability.
