It always strikes me as odd that posts like this get pages and pages of replies without anyone asking what is the source of this rumor?

I don't know where all the disbelief is coming from. Sponsors have come and gone since the first days of the park. Welch's, Sunkist, Monsanto, Wonder Bread, Bank of America, Goodyear are just a small sample of sponsors that have long since left. And many of these partnerships during their days were so strong that in those days it felt that Disneyland would not be the same without them.

Rumor or not, one day Dole will go away, and people will miss them no more than the other sponsors that helped to make Disneyland such a great place.

I miss the sponsors of imagination, WoL, ect at EPCOT, but I don't really miss any sponsors at Disneyland. Then again, Disneyland did not emphasize the idea of sponsorship to the extent that WDW did/ does.

That was my first thought, too.
"You can cut me off from the civilized world. You can incarcerate me with two moronic cellmates. You can torture me with your thrice daily swill, but you cannot break the spirit of a Winchester. My voice shall be heard from this wilderness and I shall be delivered from this fetid and festering sewer."

They used to have a product that they sold at the Bengal Barbeque called the Bengal Freeze. It was identical to the Dole Whip except it had more of a tropical fruit flavor. A much tastier product IMHO. They could always bring that back.

Contracts end and don't get renewed sometimes. That's just how it works. Bank of America, Pepsi, Fritos, and Goodyear (just to name a few) are all very popular but all of their contracts ended as well.
