    Lighting of Radiator Springs

Does anyone know what time the neon of Radiator Springs will be turned on tomorrow (Saturday 10-6)? I thought I had seen it on the DL site, but cannot find it.

    Thanks!

Sunset is at 6:30. They usually do it around then, yes?

Yeah. Another person probably knows more specific details than myself, but when I saw the lights turn on, I headed over there when the sun started to go down and just wandered in the land for a while. In your spare time, it's fun to walk down the street and admire all of the details. Oh, and I noticed that the neon sign for RSR turns on a few minutes before the rest of the lights. So if you walk to the end of the street and the neon sign for RSR is lit-- it's almost time for the rest of the lights.

They usually do it right around sunset, earlier rather than later. Don't wait for the sun to dip well below the horizon. Be in CL before the sunset time for the day (most hotels have a sheet with the weather and sunrise and sunset times at the front desk) and enjoy a snack while waiting.

I can't recall the exact time but I was a witness to it back in June. I was just walking into Cars Land and all of a sudden "Sha-Boom" started playing and the neon began to light up. I had no idea they even did that and it made me love Cars Land that much more.

I went to Cars Land for the first time with the intent of video taping the lighting ceremony. It was everything I expected it to be. I believe the order of the lighting is the same as in the movie.

They actually play that song when they turn on the lights? I'm bummed I missed that! What a nice touch. We were over that at night a lot, but always after the lights had already come on.
Also, it may be my imagination, or perhaps I did see it and it's already common knowledge, but does the the flashing yellow light blink a little slower on the third blink? lol

    Re: Lighting of Radiator Springs

The lighting ceremony usually occurs 5 minutes after the sun goes down. I believe it was around the 6:30 mark today, but I'm not 100% sure as I was busy with the hustle and bustle of today. The time for the lighting ceremony will continue to change since the sun seems to be going down earlier and earlier as of lately.
