Anyone know what happened to Simba in Soundsational?

He's been replaced by Rafiki in the Lion King float for the last few weeks. Anyone know if this is temporary or permanent?

last I saw the parade was on Sept 24th, and I believe I saw him there... maybe he went for some repairs of some sort? or he had his mane combed?

Checked with parade maintenance. He was old and in need of repair or replacement, and they opted to replace. We should see him in January.

At first I thought wow, this one didn't last as long as the one from Lion King Celebration, but then was reminded that the current one was actually repurposed from Parade of Dreams, so he was older.
