Question Does Disneyland Management Pay Attention to MiceChat?

A lot of good ideas, suggestions, criticisms, etc. are posted to MiceChat. It would be unfortunate for them to just disappear into the fog of Internetia, as it were.

So do the people who actually run the Park actively monitor, or assign appropriate assistant mice to monitor, at least the "Disneyland Resort" area of MChat? Any history of ideas here actually turning into Park policy?

If not, is there some Internet forum which the Park gurus do monitor, such as a feedback-one they run themselves?

    Probably not.

Management, not likely. Some Disney employees, yes. WDI, even if they did (I doubt it), they would never use ideas they found on the Internet because of legal issues and they get paid to think up new ideas not have the fan community tell them what to design. I do know that it is a bad idea to share insider info (especially if the source can be easily determined from the basic info given) because, if Disney did happen to stumble upon your info, the person whom you got it from may get fired.

It has been suggested before (and it makes sense) that Disney would be subject to lawsuit if they were to implement somebody's idea that they picked up on the Internet ("they stole my idea"). It would not surprise me to learn that some of their creative forces are directed to not read such websites.

Huge companies, and this includes Disney do customer research or use a third party. This includes going online and looking at web forums.

Disney has online suveys that pop up and ask if certain websites are used. I recall on one that happened to me it asked if I use, Miceage, Allears, the dis, moussavers, LP, Disney Parks Blog and many others.

Does that mean they read every post, and care about everyone's ideas or opinions? No. They do know Micechat exists.

Apparently not, since they've never implemented even one of the countless ideas and suggestions offered here...

I agree that if they monitor it at all, it would be through a 3rd party (contract) company that would report on major themes but not really small details of the goings on here.

I also agree that they probably specifically tell their Imagineers and other creative folks to avoid all Disney blogs and unofficial sites for the legal reasons stated by others.

I actually designed a remake of California Adventure that was as a Pixar Studios park and my drawings of Radiator Springs (I did in in 2006 right after Cars came out) were very similar to to what Cars Land is today. I even suggested using test track racing vehicles as the main attraction. However, I never posted it and it was based off the movie so technically I took the idea from Pixar not the other way around. Anyways my point is that I agree with you haha. Random pointless post.

If they really did listen to us, would that hat still block the view of DHS' Chinese Theater?
And wouldn't there be some new attractions under construction at
    EPCOT, DHS, or DAK?

Would the once wonderful Carousel of Progress be decaying?

And would the abandoned Peoplemover track be bringing
    down Disneyland's Tomorrowland?

If Disneyland Management paid attention to MiceChat, the parks would be fabulous.
    Fear of the unknown.

They are afraid of new ideas.

They are loaded with prejudices, not based upon any reality, but based onÖ if something is new, I reject it immediately because itís frightening to me. What they do instead is just stay with the familiar.
You know, to me, the most beautiful things in all the universe, are the most mysterious.

It seems like I remember there being a suggestion/idea box for CMs to submit their thoughts about the park while I worked there, and the humor in it was that most of us knew that once ideas were placed into the box, they fell into a black hole.
I'm not sure they really followed many CMs suggestions (unless they were the occasional token, minor ideas, possibly).
So really not all that optimistic or confident they would follow those posted here. But I may be wrong.
