    Re: Rain Effecting RSR?

I have not been on RSR yet, but what kind of tires are being used? If they used tires that were designed with little to no tread, then I could see hydroplaning being an issue.

As for coasters operating in the rain...I have been on both BTMRR and Matterhorn in the rain. Not a big deal, but the drops stung a little.

Is there only one truck (I think that's the right term) at the front axle or does the back one have a truck too?

I do hope to ride RSR in the rain but if not, I'm okay. I think just walking through RS with the neon reflecting off the wet surface of the ground will be breathtaking!!!

Do you mean is there rear wheel steering? If so, then yes RSR does have the rear wheels do some of the steering.
In the quest for quality, I have no problem with the characters footing the bill.

I meant does the rear have a device that goes into the slot? If so, there'd be no chance of hydroplaning.

You could also possibly have slippage of the drive wheels if the tires aren't treaded. I am looking forward to riding in a few weeks. Hoping it stays dry!

I'm sure the rear wheels are connected to something down in the slot. The fact that the rear wheels turn with the curves Means they are connected and controlled by the guide rail below.

I ment "check out" the umbrellas... you know, looking at them and thinking about purchasing them. I didn't mean "check them out" like from a library. Could you imagine the deposit they would want for an umbrella rental!
