    Bad News for Bengal BBQ

Here is a post by Hawkeye Jenny (over at Mouseplanet) some TERRIBLE TERRIBLE NEWS! I don't know if it's true or not though.

    -
I'm a Foods op castmember in Riverbelle Terrace. Two days ago the area manager made it known that as of October 2006 the Bengal BBQ will be shuttered and torn out to make room for additional Riverbelle seating. No, it will not be rebuilt elsewhere in the park.

I'm going to miss the safari skewers. My favorite non-sweet snack in the entire resort. *cry*

It sounds legit, but i think that'd be a horrible move. I know i've been hearing about the riverbelle expansion, but taking away this great food place????

So that little process Al talked about a while back might be coming true (new Riverbelle(2-story) and new Fantasmic)

I would really miss seeing this adventureland icon. It adds to the charm of the land and will be greatly missed.

This is truly sad. My sister had worked there for years but transferred last year to another restaurant in the park. Funny, I had never actually tried their food. My next trip, though, I will definitely stop there and have a bite or two. I'm sure I'll be kicking myself afterwards for not having been there more often.

There goes another little charming eattery gone to a feed-the-masses type of place. I loved being able to eat something other than another burger, corndog (tho' those are good and one of the last remaining little charming places to eat) and piece of fried chicken. It is very upsetting and those who care should be writing to Disney and let them know.

Oh man I hope that's not true! Apart from being really tasty they are very adventerous-themed! The lines are always long it would be a big mistake to get rid of the Bengal BBQ... what does Disney have against BBQ anyway?!?!

With all this talk of "off the shelf" and "on the back-burner" it seems the only thing that DCA is really missing is the kitchen sink!

How does this improve traffic flow through Adventureland? I dont think that is going to help that area at all.

They cant be gaining that much more seating. Another great snack removed.

Maybe that means they'll move the Bengal BBQ over to the location of the former Aladin's Oasis/Tahitian Terrace.

    That area is underused.
