This.
While I enjoy the effort of doing a Halloween make-over for Space Mtn, it misses the mark for me. The Rock n Roller-coaster (RedHotChilliPeppers) version they did to Space Mtn have more elements than this (lighting fx). There is definitely room for improvement... its freakin Disney!
I like Ghost Galaxy. It's not as good as regular Space Mountain, but for lasting a month and a half it's very tolerable. The music is a bit eighties horror film, and the effects could do with some updating, but it's really not bad.
i like both versions alot
I agree with this. It doesn't detract from the experience of the attraction, but it's not anything spectacular. I do enjoy the overlay soundtrack and the sinister feeling that they managed to create in the queue, but overall, there's nothing praiseworthy that makes the experience memorable.
I enjoy it more than the regular Space Mountain. I love Space Mountain, but the usual music is terrible. It reminds me of the Simpsons ep where they start having seizures because of the anime cartoons.
I would like to see more rides made over for Halloween.
Because it;s only around for a month I like it. Any longer I would hate it lol. I wish more rides had halloween layovers. The most obvious is BTMRR it screams for a haunted feel to it. Also ToT could use the projection shows brought back to it. maybe GRR couls have a halloween overlay as well. Give me more Halloween Damnit!!!! :D
I also like Ghost Galaxy - It's something a little different and it's only there for a little while. Granted, it is kind of cheesy, but they can only do so much and still keep it "family friendly."
I hated it when it first came out but it eventually it grew on me. Despite it's glaring shortcomings (story setup being the biggest) I've come to appreciate Ghost Galaxy for the in-ride effects especially the one where the hand follows vehicles through a hard bank turn. When I stare at the hand throughout the turn it's almost the same feeling as Thunder Mountain's goat trick.
I really enjoy the overlay I just wish they would plus it with some decorations in the que or something.
