Early 2013 refurbishments

Disneyland:

Jan. 7 – 17, 2013: Haunted Mansion will be closed.
Jan. 7 – 23, 2013: Primeval World will be closed for refurbishment.
Jan. 7 – 10, 14-17, 21-24, 28-31, 2013: Big Thunder Trail will be closed for refurbishment
Jan. 7 – Feb. 14, 2013: Fantasmic! will be closed for refurbishment.
Jan. 7 – March 28, 2013: Mark Twain Riverboat will be closed for refurbishment.
Jan. 7 – March 28, 2013: Pioneer Mercantile will be closed for refurbishment.
Jan. 7 – Oct. 30, 2013: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be closed for refurbishment.


DCA:


Jan. 7 – Feb. 7, 2013: Condor Flats restrooms will be closed for refurbishment.
Jan. 7 – Feb. 17, 2013: Silly Symphony Swings will be closed for refurbishment.
Jan. 7 – Feb. 28, 2013: Grizzly River Run will be closed for refurbishment.

Does anybody know if Fantasmic will still use the Mark Twain, even if it's under an additional 6 week refurbishment over what Fantasmic is receiving, or is it just closed for guests and the show will operate as normal?

I'm guessing that they don't want to take a half finished boat out of dry dock every night for the show. It's a safe bet that Fantasmic will run without it for a few weeks.

Probably because of all the water running through this ride, rehabs are more frequent.

Looks like most of the refurbs are taking place in January. I'm glad I didn't put off my trip until then.

I've come to town a few times when the Mark Twain was down for refurb and if I remember they didn't run Fantasmic. What's the procedure for the finale if there is no boat for all the characters to be on?

They just do their dancing on the stage theirs tons of videos on youtube of it

It would be funnier if they made them paddle around the island on one of the Explorer Canoes instead.

i feel kind of bad for people who pre-planned a trip for that second week of january :botox:

We're going that week and I'm not too bummed out. It'll be our 2nd trip of the year. I will miss BTMRR but I'm excited Indy will be back!

It's good that at least they stagger it out so that only one E ticket will be down at a time.

Are they going to put up a curtain across the whole diorama at once, or in sections? The Stegosaurus' tail is already broken after its recent refurb, BTW.
