The only one I know of (if this is considered off site) is the Howard Johnson Hotel in Anahiem honors AP discounts on Hotel rooms.

Wow, TicToc, when and what do you tell them to get that?

And thanks, Disneyphile, for the Norm's tip. We always seem to end up there at least once a trip!

You can book the hotel in advance, but you cannot get the discount until you show your AP at the Hotel front desk. I like staying there because of this and free internet access, the rooms arent bad, and the front desk is really helpful and freindly.

Depending what time of year you are going, the rates aren't too bad. www.mousesavers.com has some good deals also through them.
I have never had any problems with this so far.

hmm.. I guess I never realized that any place would offer a discount "off site." Are there any others?

Why would an off site place, like norms, offer a discount? Just to get people inside? Seems like it does no good if no one knows about it.

The Marriott and the Hilton have for us in the past as well.

I thought all of the "Disney Partners" hotels offered an AP discount???

Ohh, so this is a Disney Sanctioned thing? Why would Disney want us to stay at other partner hotels and not their own hotels?

I just don't understand why other places would do this.. unless they were owned by Disney or were forced to by them.

Of course Disney wants you to stay on-site but they can only accomodate so many guests. They also want you to go through the turnstiles at the parks. I don't think Disney has to sanction any discount provided for AP holders. Hotels can give discounts to whomever they want. Bottom line is AP holders will most likely be repeat customers so why not give additional incentives for them to stay at their property on the next visit?

    Re: Off-site Disneyland AP Discounts

The funny thing is, we've been frequenting Norms for awhile now, and just last night, the cashier finally asked if we visit Disneyland a lot and if we have APs (she's been noticing my various Disney shirts that I wear all the time). She said all we have to do is show the AP to her and its good for a 10% discount. We asked how long this offer has been going on, and she said it was already in place when she first started a few months ago.

I think they do it to draw business away from Denny's and IHOP which are much closer to the resort.

This is very good to know. Thanks. I just booked at Paradise Pier in February and got a nice discount. I try to plan mini vacations but will only stay onsite. Just seems more fun.
