I doubt the Disneyland resort is looking to limit their options in the OC by pushing away the sports franchises.
Makes little sense.
Maybe the teams generate tax revenue and intangible benefits for Anaheim that help Disneyland. But since they don't own the teams now, Disney might earn more money by building their own businesses on this land.
I hope they don't though. These properties--especially the Angles' stadium--are big, but they are far from being adjacent to the Disneyland Resort. I've heard that Angels home games (unlike Dodgers games with drunk, cursing fans and nightmarish parking) are pleasant family outings, so I hope they stay in Anaheim.

x10. They could modify the Big A for football and bring the Rams back.

Angels? NO. Ducks? Yes. I would hate to only be able to go see Dodgers games. :P

Same here. Exactly.

No, and it has nothing to do with who my favorite teams are, I just don't want to see those places go. Plus it would make more sense for Disney to find land closer to their existing property.

Nobody likes the NHL anyway.
Re: Would you trade the anaheim angels and ducks for two more disney parks?
Angel Stadium is the 4th oldest ballpark in the major leagues. Wouldn't that give it some type of historical status?
Re: Would you trade the anaheim angels and ducks for two more disney parks?
I dont care for either team but no...i would not move them out for more theme parks.....to me it sounds like bad press to start off
Re: Would you trade the anaheim angels and ducks for two more disney parks?
I'd love to see more parks in California but only after DCA is properly fixed and DL gets some TLC id hate for the DLR to end up like the east coast where there are two or arguably three parks (if you count the original EPCOT plans) still waiting to be completed.
If the two resort areas were connected by monorail, people mover or even a light rail line it could be just as easy to park hop as it is in Florida and an urban Disney resort like this would be a very unique place making I more likely non locals would visit with heir tourist dollars.
Comming from the UK baseball or ice hockey wouldn't make me want to go to DLR & Anaheim but two unique Disney parks would

Speak for yourself.
I wouldn't mind seeing Angels Stadium turned into a Disney Park, however as a Kings fan I would be upset if the Ducks went away as I enjoy having three additional Kings home games every season to attend.

I don't think any vehicle with windows moving across east Anaheim would be magical to ride in.
I agree with you that it's hard enough to keep up two parks. Four parks would be great in Tokyo or if they were operated anywhere by the Four Seasons, but we're talking Rasulo, Iger, Skaggs & Crofton. (RISC) They might condescend to spend a few nights in their beloved ($399 a night) Aulani, but it's just not easy to create and maintain locations in worthy of people of their compensation. Do Michael Eisner & his former best friend Michael Ovitz vacation at Disney World? Robbiem, ice hockey might not be crossing the pond to the U.K., but our capitalists are coming your way. Compared to them, your queen is a pauper of the people.
