Yes, but more of a dusty pink and less of a bubblegum pink, as much of the the concept art displayed.

Like others have mentioned, the gaudy Barbie Princess look of that "gold" safety railing, along with the overdone pink, need to go. And then, a healthy pruning of those trees behind the castle (which make it look so small by comparison) is in order.

Does anyone have any pictures of the castle before the new color scheme/additions? I can't seem to remember the castle any different than what it is now.
    Fear of the unknown.

They are afraid of new ideas.

They are loaded with prejudices, not based upon any reality, but based onÖ if something is new, I reject it immediately because itís frightening to me. What they do instead is just stay with the familiar.
You know, to me, the most beautiful things in all the universe, are the most mysterious.

I wonder how many realize that Disneyland's buildings were built at a 5/8th scale. Other Disney parks since then have been built at full scale. Although the other castles still use force perspective to make them look taller than they actually are.

Asking me if I'm okay with them replacing Sleeping Beauty's Castle is like asking me if I'd like my head replaced. With a brick.

There are actually two castles in the movie really. The Evil Queen's castle at the beginning, and then at the very end that sort of cloud shaped castle that represents her new home and new life. The current Disneyland castle doesn't look much like either one.

However, considering how much she and Mickey Mouse made Disneyland's existence possible it'd be fitting to give her her due.

And give Aurora the dark ride, I'd really love to see a Flora, Fauna, Merryweather, and Maleficent given more to do.

I also concur with the railing and paint scheme.

I have a never ending fount of love for Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle and I would LOATHE to see it changed. I love that the walkthrough was brought back and have always enjoyed the look and feel of the Castle.

Leave my dearest, sweet, perfect Castle alone please.

Re: Would you be open to replacing/refurbishing Sleeping Beauty's Castle?

I would be very much against the removal of the Castle. It has been Disneyland's certerpiece since day 1, and regardless of the minimal changes in appearance and the new paint job, it is pretty much the same as it has always been. Of course, we also have the magnificent Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough now, which looks better than ever.

I wouldn't doubt that one day, the time will come when the Castle will need to be heavily redone (if not in its entirety). As it stands, water leaks into the Walkthrough when it rains. The structure was not built the way we might build it nowadays. But if and when that time comes, I wouldn't want them to build it any differently than it is now (except for the railings).
