There is one sound stage that has/will be built to look like the iconic Mickey face of flowers at the front of the park.

I edited the list leaving more likely possibilities behind.

As far as #5 and #6, Fantasyland is one of the most changed lands in the park, redone almost fully twice since Walt's time.

The area just inside the castle before you reach the carousel is almost exactly as it was in Walt's time - I was talking about just that small courtyard area. Also - the Storybookland ride has changed very very little - Only major difference is the rose arches near the Casey Jr. station - The Argrabah scene and Prince Eric's Castle - the other scenes and even the landscaping are very close to the original, so if they wanted to shoot a scene while on board the train or the boats, it would work. Of course - Monstro has been replaced. It is not the original whale.

And I forgot to mention another good shooting location is the Wishing Well area.

I'd also like to see two prequels to this with age-appropriate actors as Walt.

I like Tom Hanks, I love Walt....im not really sold on this yet. At all. The fake "Walt" poster from months ago looked more appealing to me.

I'm not sure people are aware how far digital technology has taken us. They'll make it look like 1961, trust me.

You're forgetting one possible location which looks much the same, and for which there would be good reason to show Walt hanging around/working from/coming out of/looking out the window from: the Firehall/Walt's apartment.

I find it funny that no one has been cast as Julie Andrews.
    Fear of the unknown.

They are afraid of new ideas.

They are loaded with prejudices, not based upon any reality, but based onÖ if something is new, I reject it immediately because itís frightening to me. What they do instead is just stay with the familiar.
You know, to me, the most beautiful things in all the universe, are the most mysterious.

This costs money. And if they can save some cash by not re-coloring the castle to the original pallette, then they will. I would guess that more than 99% of viewers would NOT bat an eye to the current colors being seen in this movie.

I hate to say this, but I think they will be using a more modern DL as a setting b/c ppl just don't know/remember what DL used to look like. The key will be the costumes (early 1960s) and even then, I wouldn't be surprized if they use clothes/hair/color/fashions from mid to late 1960s even tho it is set in 1961-ish. I think the producers set the limit to just before tie-dye and hippie looks.

Black Sunday would make for a hell of a movie. Of course, that'd be impossible to film on location.

I completely agree. There will be a topic here in a little over a year in which we will be listing all of the anachronisms.

What about snow already on the castle?
Little and broken, but still good.
