Tom Hanks' movie to film at Disneyland

I find it strange that they will film in Disneyland without much set preparation. They will use the current Disneyland "as is". The movie is set in 1961.

"Crews will close sections of the park only during filming, and no area will be closed all day. Disney declined to say which parts would be closed. "We will be communicating that schedule to guests when they arrive on those days," Brown said."

They did the same thing for the modern family taping and it came out pretty convincingly. Only the trained eye could tell where the guest assistance CM's and ropes were. As for the movie filming I can't imagine many wide-angle shots being used because it would ruin the dating of the scene so it wouldn't be too hard to rope off the guests or put a curtain around the sets. There might be a lot of filming backstage too.

I am excited about this movie though.

"Use current Disneyland 'as is.'" "[Not] much set preparation."

How did arrive at these assumptions from that article?

I'm not sure how you can draw any conclusions whatsoever about set design from that quote.
