Hype always sets the expectation too high. Amazes me that people will wait in that long of a line...twice in some cases. 2.5 hours? Why would you not walk up to the counter after 30 minutes and ask for your money back? I just never get the need to be first. I'm sure the sandwiches are good and all that but will be steering clear for awhile. Jersey Mikes is tops in my books. Anyone else like them?

EOS opened yesterday for soft openings and I believe are giving out discounts of 25% until Thursday. Lines looked long, but most people said it was moving fast.

In my city (Valencia) we used to have a EOS the owners were big Disney Fans I would go there occasionally they made a good sandwich...but they eventually closed I think they were too spendy...I will try the DTD location when the lines die down...

Fresh from a visit to WDW where we ate at EoS three times I am very happy to see this open up. The soup they have is also very tasty and a good deal.

It would have to be really good and really cheap for me to get excited about something in Downtown Disney.

Re: GRAND OPENING: Earl of Sandwich, Friday, Nov. 2nd.

For those who wants to see how this Earl of Sandwich establishment in Anaheim looks like, I have recorded a full tour including what the hot sandwiches look like:

Just this past summer when I visited Walt Disney World in Florida, I had my first Earl at their Downtown Disney. I had the Full Montagu sandwich. Boy was it delicious!

I didn't realize they were having a soft opening this week for 25 percent off there menu price. I was very pleased to see that this is the first Earl in California.

It took us a total of about 25 minutes from the moment we ordered our sandwiches to the time we got our order. It costs 7 bucks for a hot sandwich. That's a dollar more than the other places. There is a very small indoor seating compare to a large outdoor seating. This Earl of Sandwich has an Open Kitchen layout, where you can see them making your food whereas in Walt Disney World, you can't see them making your food.

We got 3 different sandwiches. One was the Earl's Club, another was the Full Montagu, and 3rd was the Cannonballs. Out of the 3 sandwiches I definitely like the Full Montagu because it contains the most ingredients. More bang for your buck. If you scan to the last part of the video, you can see what those sandwiches look like inside.

The lines were very long at around noon. Trust me, once it officially open on Friday expect a long wait. I heard from someone that it took them an hour to order and an hour to get their food and that was during the dinner rush.

From my past experiences at EoS at WDW & Vegas the longest part of the line is the wait to place your order. Im assuming that's where the bulk of the reported 2.5 hr wait times are coming from. Once you place your order your sandwiches go into production. If Im wrong and it's taking more than 30 mins to get your sandwich after you place initial order that'd be nuts and a refund might be in order.

Good news. EoS is both those things.

They are really really good. Cheap? I'd say it's about the same price as a subway sandwich minus about 8 inches. It's well worth the cost though.
