What an adventure! Glad everybody kept calm and got moved over to the other boat and got on your way.

Wow. I would have loved to experience that. Lucky you. You got a dining voucher.

I honestly didn't even realize this could even happen. Thanks for this post! I think Jungle Cruise would be one of the worst rides to be stuck on since you're completely out of your element--at least I know I would be.

No insult! I posted that and sent you a personal message because you were actually a leader on this attraction. I've enjoyed reading your Jungle Cruise posts and wanted your commentary, especially on the excellent way the compensated the guests for their interesting inconvenience.

A few years ago my family was on Grizzly River Run and it broke down with us at the very top. It took forever to drain the river and get us out.(about 35-40 min). Our only perk, and it was a good one, was to see all the off limits areas that are on GRR. They didn't give us another fast pass or anything else. The experience was well worth it.

    Great post! 5 Stars.

    20-30 min on JC, $10
    40 min on FNSV, $40

I wonder how they calculate this and I am surprized that ppl on GRR didn't get anything at all (Indiana Jeff's post above).

Perhaps this is representative of newer policies regarding taking care of the guests when things go wrong? Just guessing here.

Any place looks good when everything goes right. I judge places largely on how well they handle problems. It looks like Disney handled this problem in all the right ways. Good job, Disney.

I looked it up first to make sure I'm not leaking anything... it's been in the news so I'll say it. There's an ongoing lawsuit involving a boat that derailed near that area. This could be Disney's way of trying to show a good face. I don't know Disney policy but to my knowledge the voucher handout isn't part of it otherwise it would have been reported on here with other breakdowns.

Before techskip replied, I read your message as an insult. Especially the sleeping smiley face. I might suggest proofreading your messages. I took it as an insult and quite offensive...as if you were mocking him and then threw the sleeping smiley face as if he was boring you with his comments.

Anyways...back to our originally scheduled programming.

Although I am sorry that your Jungle Cruise experience was cut short (no Swietzer Falls experience?) .... I am glad that TDA did the right thing by making sure all guests were returned safely & comped rightfully (& no flash photography please, Cast Members are like Audio Animatronics) ...

I hope the rest of the time @ Disneyland went by without an issue

So nice to hear a report like this from someone with a great positive attitude.. those are few and far between these days. Another example of great Disney hospitality as well.

Bad things happen.. and it may certainly have just been a freak occurrence..but they really need to slow down on the new attractions and give some love to the old ones. Our last trip was two years ago to WDW and we were kind of shocked to see how shabby the parks, resorts, rides, and attractions were getting across the board. That said I still feel safer in a Disney park than anywhere else.
