There's Lots of Wonderful Stuff Just beyond those Gates...

    Howdy Pards,

They did it on purpose, of course...gathered a whole mess of things that bring joy, and wonder, and magic, and delight into our lives. You'll find 'em just beyond the gates and right through those tunnels. Beauty is in there, the smell of freshly popped popcorn is in there, huge wonderful hot dogs are in there, the smell of freshly baked Cinnamon rolls, big ol' ice cream cones, music that makes your soul happy and light...parades...characters we've known and loved all our lives...wishes...dreams. Inside those gates you'll find adventure, smiles, giggles, and absolute joy.

Is it any wonder we keep coming back to Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom? We find happiness here...we forget the complexities of modern life...sail away with pirates...or fly with Peter Pan over Neverland...or take a cruise into deep, dark mysterious jungles. We climb up into a big ol' treehouse, visit a haunted mansion, get thrown into a briar patch with Brer Rabbit. We set on the hard curb waiting for a wonderful parade...or stand in absolute awe watching fireworks over that
    dreamlike castle.

Gathering the things that bring joy, and happiness, and wonder, and delight into our lives...bringing happiness to others. Yep, there's a lot of wonderful stuff just beyond those gates...

Thanks Uncle Walt. We love you, still.

Adios for now. Talk to ya on down the trail.

I can hear the bronco's neighin', I can hear the cowboys sing,
I'd like to be in Texas for the Round-up in the Spring."

I am due for some Disney Magic. Let's just say that I've had a pretty crummy year, and I can't wait until I board my flight for California, and I get to spend some quality time at Disneyland and DCA. It helps get me through the days just thinking about it.

    Love this!
    Fear of the unknown.

They are afraid of new ideas.

They are loaded with prejudices, not based upon any reality, but based on… if something is new, I reject it immediately because it’s frightening to me. What they do instead is just stay with the familiar.
You know, to me, the most beautiful things in all the universe, are the most mysterious.

You summed it up beautifully, Wild Ol' Dan. There is certainly a magic inside the berms of the park that keeps bringing me back.

Sorry to hear you've had a rough year, Barbaraann. I hope things turn around for you, and that you get to visit the parks again soon. It is true that anticipation is half the fun!

There is truly something special about this place that mere words just can't sum up completely. But we understand what you're saying, Dan.

Barbaraann, if it's any comfort, just remember we're all a family here on Micechat, and we're all sending you good thoughts. Noone is really alone here.

I found MiceChat when I was doing research for my very first trip ever to Disneyland back in 2005. As long as MiceChat is here I will be here. My friends here have put up with a lot of my whining lately, and I really do appreciate that.

Disneyland is a magical place for me, because I am always happy there, and I really do forget about all the crummy stuff once I hit the esplanade, and even more so when I pass through the turnstiles.

we're kindred spirits, barbaraann (a title shared with many of our fellow mice chat crew, i'm sure). i, too, am counting down the days to my escape at disneyland. i'm sorry to hear that you're year has been crummy, but i'm so excited that you'll soon be in your happy place.

"oh, i just love happy endings!"

    Howdy Pards,

I cannot think of anyone else in my lifetime certainly who has left such a legacy of happiness to this ol' world of ours. The philosophy and wisdom of Walt Disney is something to be studied and admired and respected... Few people, indeed, have left this world so much happier than they found it... Walt got our love the old fashioned way...he earned it.

Adios for now. Talk to ya on down the trail.
