wow can't believe lucas gave up his babies. with marvel and lucasfilms, disney owns some of the best IP in the entire entertainment business. it makes sense though, as with lucas we all knew star wars would die eventually, but with disney, the best milkers in the world, they will milk star wars for decades like they have done for their classic movies

I wouldn't write Avatar off just yet.
In the press release Lucas said that he has been hoping Star Wars would continue after him and was looking for someone to pass the torch too. He has also said (80s) that Disney is the only company he trusts his brand with. This was inevitable.
Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter
Mind is blown now, not sure what to think anymore
Sky is green, cats and dogs living together, up is down down is up
"If theme parks, with their pasteboard main streets, reek of a bland, safe, homogenized, whitebread America, the Renaissance Faire is at the other end of the social spectrum, a whiff of the occult, a flash of danger and a hint of the erotic. Here, they let you throw axes. Here are more beer and bosoms than you'll find in all of Disney World." - Chicago journalist Neil Steinberg
Just makes me wonder if Lucas is ill.

Currently raising funds for the AMAZING Give Kids The World for their annual Coasting for Kids event. Any amount would go a long way in helping a family enjoy an amazing Orlando vacation. You can donate on my page.
This is so great. Best thing to happen to Stars wars in a long time.
My world is officially ROCKED. Forget Avatar - the possibilities on this one are endless!
i don't know about more movies, but I love this acquisition. I love Star Wars and I hope to see more character meet and greets for other SW characters and not just Stormtroopers during Halloween nights?Maybe bring Star Wars weekend to Disneyland too!

This purchase reminds me of when two of your friends on Facebook whom have been flirting with each other for a while finally change their relationship status and everyone else goes "YES! FINALLY!"
Very good news indeed. It'll be interesting to see what the future Episodes look like or even feature. There're definitely a lot of gaps and future expansion stories in the continuum. Hopefully the actors'll be able to dwarf those in the prequels (don't get me wrong, there were those who were excellent) and live up to the legacy of Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Frank Oz, and whoever else. I seriously can't wait. GEEK-GASM!
Broadway/Touring Shows that I've Seen: Peter Pan, The Lion King, Wicked (twice), Avenue Q, Young Frankenstein, Les Miserables, Shrek the Musical, The Producers, The Book of Mormon (twice), Matilda, Once, and Kinky Boots.
Avengers vs. The Empire. Let's make it happen Disney.
Those Mayans are on to something. Head for the fallout shelters everybody!!
Parks news.....ample oppurtunity to expand or include. Room to grow. Nothing specific.
Sounds like someone wants to retire and buy all of Australia or something.
