I love the way the extra's are dressed!
The snow was put on in Oct....I figured it was put on for preparation of the Christmas Parade taping and ths holiday season.
Does anyone know it there every was snow put up during the Walt years?

and I agree Walt's life should be a done as a mini-series but do we really want to see a show that could portray a possible bad side to him? Maybe a him he did not want us to see. very interesting.

No there was not, the snow has only been happening since 2007. I would imagine, even if they don't digitally alter the castle colors for a more authentic 1960s look, that they'll at least be Photoshopping out the snow.

They only started doing that a few years ago. Before they just had garland around the turrets.

I read in today's newspaper that they shot near the Carousel and also by the Astro Orbiter.
That's interesting, since there was no Astro Orbiter in the '60s, the carousel was in a different location and the entire Fantasyland facade is dramatically different now.

The Fantasyland facades were redone back in 1983.

The filming wasn't wide shots. They were in tight to the castle. The only cosmetic change was switching out the new banners with the old school ones. Check out the photo in the upper right of this collage:

Well Stephan Lang looked nothing like George Pickett but, that didn't stop him from playing the part. Someone mentioned another actor and yes he does look like Walt...the Walt of the 1930's, this is the Walt of the 1960's. Frankly I never really cared much for an actors looks, if Hanks gives a stellar performance I will declare myself a better critic than Leonard Maltin and make it one of the best films of the year.

Wow. Just look at how differently people dressed back then. I'm just glad that Mad Hatter is a face character now. Instead of that creepy mask character they had back then.
