The sewage smell outside the Pirates queue, when it loops to the left side of the building. :(
Certainly not my favorite but oh so accurate.
Walking the back street of New Orleans Square, Royal St, from the French Market side. Somedays it smells 100% like the French Quarter in New Orleans, LA.
Same with parts of the Peter Pan queue
The last time I rode Pirates, I was disappointed that it didn't smell as much as it used to. The Haunted Mansion didn't seem to smell as "old" as it used to, either.
I think my overall favorite smell is something that I can only describe as "that Disneyland building smell". Seems like it's most noticeable on Main Street. It's a kind of an old, yet clean aroma. Very hard to describe. But very soothing to me, and an olfaction I've never encountered anywhere else.
I am sure I am not the first one to say this, but the smells are what MAKE Disneyland Disneyland. These smells are embedded into our brains so while we are home and we turn on a car and we smell Pirates... We go to Disneyland to smell Mainstreet sugar cones, Pirates water, churro carts, The antique smells of the original rides, and the smells of the DL RR! :)
Pirates and Splash Mountain have a certain smell that never escape my mind even when I'm not in the park. I guess it's the water.
Also the steam from the railroad, the popcorn carts, and the mixture of just about every kind of food all at the same time.
Definitely the smell of Pirates, right after the first drop in the cove area seems to have the best smell! And walking in front of the main street bakery, smelling the coffee and the freshly made cookies. And of course the Matterhorn, smells somewhat like Pirates, but I can't really describe it. Every ride has it's own smell and I love them all! :)
Right now the water smells bad near the castle. Also, people need to bring enough changes of clothes for there trip. Quite a lot of "butt smell" in lines yesterday. :( lol
i smelled lots of pine outside the loading gate of soarin! Gibson girl smelled great last nite!
The fresh paint smell of Radiator springs racers and Buena Vista street. I can already tell those smells are fading... :(
I like the smell of the room where you first see Indy inside the Indiana Zones Adventure, smelled like cotton candy. I wouldnt be surprised if that smell is gone after the rehab.
At Disneyland, the memorable smell is that scent from the RR engine. That is a distinctive smell that says to me: "Welcome home!"
At DCA, the smell I associate with the park is that fresh baked sourdough smell in the Pacific Wharf. Or burnt popcorn by the Hyperion.
Mmm... the smell of sourdough by Pacific Wharf is lovely.
Yeah, it really messes with the whole vibe. They should really get those cleaned, or perhaps rerouted.
One thing I do enjoy smelling though is crisp morning air when the park opens at 8. The addition of churro, cotton candy, and coffee smell adds to the bliss as well.
