    Talking Smells! Smells! Smells!

Hey guys--I was wondering what everyone's favorite defining smell from the Parks was. It could be from Pirates water to Dole Whip to old air conditioner smells like in Star Tours and the Disneyland Hotel. Something that lets you know you're in the happiest place on earth.

Also have you ever encountered these smells somewhere outside of the parks? If so, let us all know so we can try to feel a little at home. I heard WalMart's automotive hand cleaner "Fast Orange" smells almost exactly like Horizon's orange grove.

I'll try to be the first to mention Pirates of the Carribean's water.

Also, the smell of popcorn carts.

I'll also second the smell of oranges and Horizons. (even though that was Epcot) I can never smell oranges in quiet the same way any more.

The fresh pretzels at Disneyland and fresh caramel corn in CA Adventure are my favorites. The Spacemountain restrooms are my least favorite.

The POTC water smell has been toned down over the years. It isn't as strong as it used to be. They must use a different chemical now than they used to.

However there are places in the log ride at an Knotts that smell exactly how POTC used to. And when I ride on that ride it's like taking a trip down memory lane!

Anytime I smell musty old water it reminds me of pirates. Also, the smell of the corn dog cart on Main Street!

I gotta agree with the "dead air" smell of the Haunted Mansion. Deff my favorite. I also love the POTC water smell, and the smell of the food coming from the Plaza Inn.
