My Disneyland Bucket List just got shorter!

While at Disneyland for our anniversary, Russ arranged a special surprise for me! I had never done this before and was very excited to be in the pilothouse!

    Now my bucket list is:
    1. Walt's Apartment
    2. The Roundhouse
    3. Ride with engineer on Steam Train

I have a feeling only #3 will be accomplished.

What is on your bucket list?

Hidden Mickey - Historical fiction about Walt that mixes action and mystery with time travel and fantasy! Tweens to adults will enjoy these novels. And now, three gamebooks to play in Disneyland, DCA and WDW Magic Kingdom!

Check out my six action/adventure novels about Walt's lost diary and his epic quest. Visit my blog page!

Ask nicely to one of the cast members right before they start boarding if the Captain is allowing guest into the wheel house. If so they will take you into the wheel house to pilot the Mark Twain ring the bell and blow the whistle. Also you get to sign a guest book. I have done this a few times and its a great view of the river.

The pilot also gave me a tour of the Mark Twain as we went up the levels of stairs, explaining the engines, the engineer, names of the decks, etc. It was quite informative. They receive the same training as the steam trains conductors and can work both rides.

Doesn't the new walk in Walt's footsteps tour take you to his apartment?

i'm so glad you were able to do that; how sweet of your husband to arrange it. your list is so short now! i'm not sure about how to get into the roundhouse, but if you do the "in walt's footsteps" tour, you get to see some of walt's apartment.

"oh, i just love happy endings!"

That's wonderful that you got to do that. We got to do that on our last trip, so much fun. This trip I'm crossing off another item...Club 33.

I've done this before as well a few years ago, and it really is fun and cool. Glad you enjoyed! We also got a certificate at the end that I have around here some where.

Welcome to the club! I took my daughters up there last year. It was a lot of fun. For peasants like me, it's a great, free way to feel like a somebody.
