That empty area in the Space Mountain Que

I was wondering if anyone has ever seen anything involving the big empty area in the Space Mountain que. It seems like there should be some kind of presentation or stage show.
I think it would be an interesting spot to put a DJ or two at night, ala Daft Punk. I think it could ad some ambiance to the free space and pump the sound through all of TL.
    Any thoughts?
    With kind regards,

I think there is already enough sound pumped through Tomorrowland from the bands performing at Tomorrowland Terrace.

Not possible. That is the roof of the Magic Eye Theater. It would collapse if there was too much weight on it.

I seem to remember that they did not put all that much support in that area when they created the Magic Eye. I agree.

Are we talking about the "landing space" on your left hand side as you walk across the roof? If so, I always thought that they should have put some sort space ship there, maybe the X-Wing that is (or was) hanging in the StarTrader. Granted, the X-Wing would need to have some landing gear added. Maybe they could put an Imperial Shuttle there, sort of fits the Starwars theme that is already in the area. The area could be empty because of weight issues, but it would be kind of neat to have a little show piece of some kind right there.

My understanding that that area is kept clear because it is an emergency helipad. Zoom in on it on Google Earth, you can see the landing markings.

I thought it looked like it, too. Plus they have all those super duper bright lights around the edge that, IIRC, point towards that area. It looks like it could be bright lights for a night landing.

If it's true, they probably can't put anything there, but have to keep it clear, just in case. I've never heard of it actually being used.

    Thanks for checking.

It would be cool to see a helicopter actually land there, wouldn't it? As long as it wasn't because of any kind of emergency.

I think this idea/question is because of old memories. That are was once a stage. Space Stage. I can hardly remember it but found a good article about the area's progression.

Urban legend. People evens hundreds and thousands of them can easily be designed for. If they wanted a stage it would of been or could be one, but I agree with the Calsig about the Tomorroland Terrace preforming that function.

Yes. If someone is seriously injured or sick they are taken back stage and loaded onto and ambulance. There is a road that circles DL and one around 75% of DCA providing the vehicle access. Because of the large number of people in the parks ambulances are regulaily parked back there.
