"You can cut me off from the civilized world. You can incarcerate me with two moronic cellmates. You can torture me with your thrice daily swill, but you cannot break the spirit of a Winchester. My voice shall be heard from this wilderness and I shall be delivered from this fetid and festering sewer."
Doctor: We're too exposed everywhere. And Amy can't move. And besides, that's not the plan.
River: There's a plan?
Doctor: I don't know. I haven't finished talking yet.
Oh my God no.
They are going to swing a wrecking ball at my childhood.
Damn them. Damn them to hell.
Whoever made this decision, just let me have 5 minutes with them behind closed doors.
And have an ambulance ready.
This has ruined my day.
New buildings would not have the same character.
The queue should wind right through the town.
Even going in and out of the stores that are large enough.
I'll never forgive them if they tear those down. Never.

They could just be removing the Halloween Party lighting that was setup in the tunnel. Though that shouldn't be something that requires a tarp. It could also be a cleaning up of the foliage.No. There were a lot more buildings spread out in different levels when it was the Mine Train. They did away with many of them during BTMRR construction. The ones that are there are in fact original, but they are not in their original footprints as they shuffled them around.
I don't see why they would do it.
geeze, I love history too but we have to realize and come to grips that Disneyland was created to constantly change. Certain elements have created great memories, but it's time to make new things that will make memories for generations to come.
Don't live in the past. Embrace the future.

Exactly!
We cannot hold on to the past forever. the world is always evolving into new and better things whether we like it or not..and that goes for Disneyland. It's constantly changing and it won't ever stop. Again this is so far *just* a rumor, and therefore i am not going to get all worked up about it to if and when it actually happens.
I agree with Poisonapples
You be damned too.
Why not just bulldoze the entire park.
Embrace the future as a plastic theme park.

I think the main point most people are complaining about if it happens is the lost element of a widely loved attraction. If they take them down and don't replace them it would just look odd and change the story of the attraction.
The real fact of course is none of us know what's goign to happen and it;s all speculation. if those buildings are rotting and or falling apart then they probably need to be torn down and I am sure we all want them back up and replaced. We will just have to wait and see.
Ya, they would never put a ride in Tomorrowland that shrinks riders down to sub-atomic levels.
While this is still an unsubstantiated rumor, if it came down to a choice of removing them due to decay or rebuilding them, I would choose rebuilding so we can, at least, have some semblance of what was once there.

As much as I hate to admit it, I completely agree with this. While BTMRR is near the top of my beloved attractions list (at least, up until the earthquake lift, after that you can just bulldoze it... yawwwwwntastic ending.), I wouldn't mind seeing a complete redo of the track area visible from the queue. All of it, from the dinosaur bones to Golfland Ridge... there is so much that could be done to liven up what really looks cheesy these days.
