Confused with Rider Switch Pass !!!

How does it work ? I ask a CS in front of the ride who gives me the pass? Then go through the Stand-By Line and go on the ride, exit then give it to the person who couldn't go because they are watching the child who wasn't tall enough who then gives it back to the greeter and goes through the FastPass line ? Is there like an exchange of passes ?

You go up to the CM at the front of the line and tell them you want to do rider swap. They will give you a plastic card on a lanyard (at least most of them do) that you will take thru the line (stand-by or FP if you have them) and give to the CM at loading. That CM will give you a paper card that is the rider swap card. You'll give that card to the person waiting and they will take it to the CM at the beginning of the line and they will go thru the FP line.
