D.land's Lost & Found Dept. is wonderful!

I left my favorite sweatshirt at Disneyland two weeks ago, then filled out a form, and less than a week later, Disneyland's Lost and Found department mailed it to me via Priority Mail at no cost to me.

Thank you!

They also did this about two or three years ago when we left a backpack there.

Like Universal Hollywood distributing free hot chocolate on rainy days,

During my first visit to DCA in 2001 I left a pair of sunglasses in the bins at The Maliboomer. I didn't realize it for hours. I placed an inquiry at Lost and Found with a very general description of black frames, blue lenses. I got the exact pair in the mail a week later.
I've also had a family member lose a wallet and get it back, with everything still inside.

I agree, DL has an amazing Lost and Found Dept!

I had bought my Duffy and that same day, just hours after I bought him, I lost his Duffy hat in the line for Soarin' just when you get inside with the plane photos and banners. I said oh well because I figured either someone picked it up or I don't know.

The next day, I went to lost and found *just* in case it may have showed up...IT DID! My kid was so happy and that made me happy!

Wow what a great thing to happen and I agree with the above poster it's lucky to have someone actually turn that stuff in. Glad you were able to get your items back both times.

I have never thought about going to lost and found but now I know it's worth a try. Thanks!

I'm 50/50 at getting lost items back. I think one of my lost items wasn't seen as valuable but a super great souvenire for a CM or maybe a guest.

I agree that their department is amazing - considering the amount of guests and stuff that pass through the Parks every day. I had a similar experience with my Tigger visor that was lost somehow. It was mailed to me about a week after we returned home.

i think it is worth mentioning: to make the system work, people who do find items should turn in the item to lost and found.

What was it?

I lost a cheap $5 hat, in an Epcot Pavillion. The hat was a unique cowboy/american styled hat so I think a foreigner may of hung on to it, rather than it get turned in.

I lost the lens cap off of my camera there several years ago. I went to lost and found to see if it had been turned in and they produced a large box of lens caps. "Will any of these fit your camera?" and of course one did. It made me laugh.
