    Re: BTMRR queue themeing.

It better be something good........the other Orlando theme parks are "bringing it". Another Universal addition revealed today........a totally immersive "Springfield" Simpsons environment complete with Krusty Burger, Moe's, and Kang & Kodos C-ticket among other eats and retail. Has one theme park ever had the construction of 3 E-tickets, 1 C-ticket and 2 new lands taking place all at one time???

Love the portrait! Will be interested to see where the story leads. (My first thought was Tony, also.)

Somewhere in the queue there needs to vintage edition of the Rainbow Ridge Gazette, with a photo depicting a man that looks like Marc Davis getting stabbed in the back by the man in this portrait (i.e. Tony Baxter). With caption "Western River explorer murdered by mining tycoon."

I would love the ride to get more of a "story" in the Q at least.....the ride works well enough but would not mind more to look at and I love as a big Disney Fans telling my friends about the new and old storys from many of the Qs....so I hope if the ride is going down for a year that they have time to add more to the Q as well as the ride

He was probably being sarcastic considering the early history of BTMRR, Western River Expedition, and the relationship between Tony Baxter and Marc Davis.
Doctor: We're too exposed everywhere. And Amy can't move. And besides, that's not the plan.
    River: There's a plan?
    Doctor: I don't know. I haven't finished talking yet.

How is Haunted Mansion's elevator scene kid friendly? Tower of Terror's short film? Kids know what murder is, so a passing mention of it isn't against Disney policy.

Detailed, interactive queues with back stories are a nice addition but the only queue I am interested in is one that moves quickly.

Well.....my guess would be part one of the Q has most of the interactive elements...then they stop you.......so the line will be slow there so people can touch these elements...and the second part will be more of old school story telling with just pictures and some other set pieces to look at and move much quicker

Thats a retirement gift for Tony if I ever saw one. Well deserved too
"If theme parks, with their pasteboard main streets, reek of a bland, safe, homogenized, whitebread America, the Renaissance Faire is at the other end of the social spectrum, a whiff of the occult, a flash of danger and a hint of the erotic. Here, they let you throw axes. Here are more beer and bosoms than you'll find in all of Disney World." - Chicago journalist Neil Steinberg

I've always liked the concept of the mountain being protective of its gold. The queue has always been perfect as is (to me).

As long as the creatures are shown as aware of the mountain and its... er... awareness... and protective of it, I'm along for the ride. As I've always been.
