Home. I'm way over 21 and that's what I want to do after a day at Disneyland.
I'll take a large Tea Cup with a side of Casey Jr. And when will all the construction finally end?
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Sounds like I'll need to add a few days to the vacation to hit all the bars.![]()
We tend to grab some drinks in DCA, be it some beer and margaritas when the sun is beatin down. Relax with some wine, chill out in the Carthay Bar, etc. the GCA has a fun bar. if its after the day, we have had drinks at UVA, house of blues, that jazz place, etc in DTD.
The dining off lot, near the bigger hotels offers some good food, drinks and can be pretty relaxing. But these places usually don't stay open too late.
We want to try Twisted vine wine bar in Fullerton, it has gotten some good reviews
You're looking at $7 for a beer at UVA bar, house of blues is 1/2 that price, but obscenely loud, like louder than any place you have ever been. Trader SAMs is the best though. DCA sells alcohol throught the park which you can carry anywhere except the rides. Mmmm beeer...
Oooh, used to be one of my fave things to do after a long day in the park is grab an alcoholic libation at the Uva Bar and enjoy some picture recapping of the day.
Now my new tradition is to head to Trader Sam's and enjoy a tiki drink or two! It's a great place to be without kids and without the large crowds that Uva Bar tends to have. Plus, there are lots of details to keep my attention and stimulating conversation to be had.
If you want Sports, I recommend ESPN Zone- I only go there during Hockey Season (which is sad cause we don't have one right now and I'm protesting). The Rain Forest Cafe is all right, but a bit overpriced for the drinks, IMO. House of Blues has a decent bar but sucks if there's a concert that night- so many people.![]()
Tons of great places to go in the Disneyland Resort.![]()
<3 There are a million cupcakes in the world but only one is Cupcake Terror. <3
I AM THE REBEL SPY.
mad t party is awesome. trader sams rocks.. uva bar is good, GCh lounge.. ESPN.. all the above work~
My husband and I love hitting Trader Sam's when we're done hitting the parks!
On that note - and to hijack a thread a bit - I've heard that TS's has seasonal holiday-themed drinks? Can anyone confirm/deny...and, if possible, share what the new drinks are?
Traditionally, we go to Uva Bar for drinks. However, they changed the drink menu recently and I've found that I don't like many of their options (I don't drink beer or wine, sadly, so I need a decent rum runner or something). Plus the prices are outrageous.
On our most recent trip we checked out Trader Sam's, and we both decided THAT is our new tradition. The prices weren't cheap, but you get more bang for your buck, in my opinion. The only drawback is the distance from the parks, as it's at the Disneyland Hotel. Worth it, though!
I second the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki rum. Just make sure you say it correctly for they won't give it to you (hehe). Order anything that comes with a show or a souvenir glass.
