Place for adults to go after hours in Disneyland?

    Hi Everyone,

I'm wondering if there is a place for the over 21 crowd to go in the late evening or later in Disneyland or the surrounding area? Just looking for a place to go to relax and have a few drinks with the wife after spending the day in the park. Even better would be a place where Disneyland cast members go to hang out after work (my wife would love to have the opportunity to hobnob with some cast members).

Ideally it would be in the park, but if there is no place in the park, where do adults usually go outside of the park? I know at WDW in Florida they had Pleasure Island, but I don't there was ever an equivalent place in Disneyland.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

There is the UVA Bar in Downtown Disney and a bar at the Disneyland Hotel. It used to be called The Lost Bar but if im not mistaken, its called Trader Sams. I know there are people on here who will be able to correct me on my bar locations, and can give you ideas around the park

Thank you Poisonedapples for my my my signature!!!

As the pp said, Uva Bar in DtD is fun and has great people watching. Carthay Circle Lounge in DCA is a lovely place to have a drink. Trader Sam's at the DLH is fun, the Hearthstone Lounge and the bar at the Napa Rose at the GCH are nice. You might want to check how late Roy's (at Gardenwalk) serves drinks.

We have enjoyed Hearthstone in GCH. And Carthay Lounge, but last call is 30 mins prior to park closing.

Another option, I would assume, is Mad T Party in DCA. When I saw elecTRONica back in March it was mostly teenagers and adults seeing that it was later at night. There were also cocktails and beer available for purchase. It's just the matter of if it's going on when you're there.
Please... put Guardians of the Galaxy in Tomorrowland.

Another vote for Trader Sam's! My gf and I LOVE that bar. I have always really liked the tiki style bar, and they have become far and few between. Disney took it to another level with Trader Sam's. Drinks are well made, food is good, and the atmosphere is awesome!

At WDW that is fairly easy since many CMs are on the college program and follow the drink specials, go to places that welcome them, and go in large groups.

At DLR the CMs are locals and go back to where they live, with thier families. However I know quite a few CMs and often find them at the Mad T Party.

    Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

Are any of these known to be frequented by Disneyland cast members?

Is Uva bar a part of the Catal restaurant? I Googled it and had trouble telling if it was separate or part of the restaurant. And from what I read it sounds like Uva is outside?

    Thanks.

The Uva bar is outside, mostly under shades. It's in the middle of the walkway through DTD.

Catal is on the side of DTD next to the walkway that contains Uva. It has balcony seating so you could end up looking down at Uva from your table.

Trader Sams. Last call for food is 1am. Last call for drinks is 1:30am. Always have found a place to sit inside and often chat till 3am in front of the Fireplace outside. I recommend the Tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki Rum (half the ice)

The Disneyland Resort has some fabulous bars! In DCA you've got The Cove Bar, The Al Fresco Lounge, And the Carthay Circle Lounge. In DownTown Disney you've got the outdoor Uva Bar, the outdoor Tortilla Jo's Cantina, live jazz at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen bar, the bar in House of Blues (or multiple bars if you're there for a show), the bar in Naples, two or three bars (depends if they open the small upstairs bar) in ESPN Zone, and the bar in Rainforest Cafe. Only downside is the Downtown Disney bars all tend to close around 10pm (even on weekends!), although ESPN Zone and House of Blues can stay open later sometimes.

The Disneyland Hotel has the uber-fabulous Trader Sam's which always stays open till 2am and the bar at Steakhouse 55. The Grand Californian has the Hearthstone Lounge and the lounge at Napa Rose. The Hearthstone I gave up on years ago due to abysmal service on multiple occasions but I've heard it's gotten better recently. I'll try it again soon. Not sure if the Paradise Pier Hotel has a bar--never been there.

Want an adult beverage at Disneyland? Too bad unless you're a Club 33 member.

My favorite spots are ESPN Zone, Brennan's, Tortilla Jo's, Trader Sam's, and, occasionally, the Cove Bar. Within the resort, if you want a drink after 10pm your only sure bet is Trader Sam's.

Over at GardenWalk you've got Bar Louie which is open till 2am every night and 300 which is open till midnight weekdays and 2am on weekends. I think there's another real bar there but I'm not sure. Beyond those there the usual corporate restaurant bars (Cheescake Factory, Roy's, PF Chang's, Bubba Gump, McCormick and Schmick's) which all close by 10 or 11. Several of the local Hotels (Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton) have bars that are open till 11 or 12 but they're not worth the walk when better option are available on-property.
