While they might not camp out for days, some hard core APs will be waiting in line for hours. I would not be surprised if colored wristbands are used, which would give an incentive to checking in early (similar to WOC colored sections).
Disney is the master of crowd control, so the orderly filling of 1000 seats should not be a problem.

Have you ever seen the seating being done in person? Each guest is personally escorted to their seat. If any left over seats are available, CMs seek out handicapped or elderly guests and offer those seats up to them, and then escort those folks directly to their seats. There has never been any mad dash, or simply opening up the seating to any and all guests.
