Name on Hopper @ DGC check-in?

Now that they're having us write our names on our tickets & checking IDs (that's a good thing), I understand that they're also adding our names to a computer to be able to cross match the name on the ticket with ID and computer record.

Does anyone know if that can be done when checking into the hotels? It would save time getting thru the turnstiles if I can have the clerk at the hotel scan the hopper & add my name to their data base as I'm checking in.

I agree! I hope it puts the ticket scammers out of business.

I was reading on 'another board' that it can hold you up on your first day as they scan ticket, check ID, have you sign ticket, & type your name in the computer. Times that by the number of people entering the park for the first time on any given day and I can see how that can really hold up a line, especially for EMH days. Every minute of that 'golden early hour' is precious to me, LOL.

That's why I was hoping that I'd be able to take care of the signing & computer entry part of it when we check in at the DGC. Then it would be just scan ticket & check ID to get through the turnstiles & we wouldn't be holding up anyone in line (including us).

New technology is coming soon until then I'm glad they are doing this to counter the ticket renters even thoe it has already delayed my entry on a few occasions. The less money Disney loses it will help everyone at the ticket booth

I don't think you can have your ticket media verified etc at the hotels. This is really a main entrance function. It doesn't really take that long.
