Details on the new show in the Fantasyland Theater!

As we all know, the Fantasyland Theater is once again going to have an actual show in it come next year. Well I can inform everyone that the new show will be called, "Mickey and the Magical Map".

The synopsis of the show is; Yen Sid the sorcerer is working on a new Magical Map that Mickey Mouse finds one day. Mickey grabs an "interactive paintbrush" and tries to help Yen Sid with the map. Mickey then accidentally makes several "mistakes" that end up being great additions for the map. Through each "Mistake" Mickey makes, we as the guests, are transported to another world based on Disney movies. We'll see worlds from the Little Mermaid and Jungle book, that use characters, puppets, lights, video and magic! to make these worlds come alive with music. It all leads to a huge finale staring Tiana and her friends.

The show should be up and runing in the summer of 2013! I can not wait!

I don't believe Disney has "Officially" announced their plans for the show to the public quite yet. But I work in management at a local Anaheim hotel and we were invited for the annual showcase that Disney Sales puts on, and that's where they announced it to us.

While I'm excited to see the area once again being used in the way it was originally designed and as an entertainment venue, I would like to see something more original for a story line. It sounds like WOC, except in 3D. But.... I'll hold off full judgement until we get some more concrete information as to the exact details. A lot can change between now and next summer.

Still wondering if they will find a way to darken or enclose the theater to better allow for video projections and lighting?

Wondering if they designed a show that they can easily switch out for new entertainment during the Halloween and Christmas parties next year?
