Question about candlelight free ticket upgrade

So i was wondering. We currently have the socal select ap and we were selected for the candlelight on the 16th. That is a blackout day for us but i understand they will give us a 1 day pass. My question is can i use that day pass towards my current ap or can you just use it to upgrade the pass? We are still fairly new to the ap and thought this is the best place to get a good answer !!

Usually complimentary tickets have no upgrade value. The free birthday and give a day tickets were upgradable, so you can always try.

The answer is No. If you have a SoCal Select AP, you can't add another ticket to it to pay for it if it's on a payment plan or upgrade to another AP.

You can apply the parking cost to an upgrade if you paid for parking on the same day and your new pass will inlcude parking. Bring the parking reciept with you to the ticket booths.
