What would you like to see from Disneyland in 2013?

My two main hopes for the upcoming year is that TDA changes their minds about the exclusive Christmas parties, and that the show that premieres at the Fantasyland Theatre is not cheesy and commercialized Las Vegas stuff, but is a high quality, timeless, pure Disney show.

People mover track gone and former rocket jets platform gone. The ride building that will replace innoventions should become the new "weenie" of tomorrowland. Fix hollywoodland and add the main street alleys.

Ditto on Disneyland Resort merchandise. I'm hoping for an expansion of Big Thunder incorporating elements from the old Mine Train, and utilizing what remains of the route along the river and into the Big Thunder Ranch area as well.

Announcements for either a expanded Frontierland Or Revamped TL

I'd have to agree with biggsworth, I'd really like to see news about expanding Frontierland. I would prefer western style rides though, instead of the possibility of cramming the world of OZ in there.

I also agree with this & would like to take it a step further. A return of the "One of a Kind Shop" would be most desirable. The Perfume Shop need to offer Disneyland exclusive items & not just items that you can purchase at any mall. It is unfortunate that we have lost the watches, but it is understandable. People do not wear them anymore.

TDA is missing the boat here. Their desire to make Anaheim a resort location demands exclusivity & special opportunities. There is no need to go through the shops if the merchandise is the same that you can pick up anywhere. To put bodies in the stores, there needs to be a reason for them to be there. Just having the attractions' exits spew into a store only impairs anyone actually trying to enjoy some retail therapy. The ever present crowding problem would be eased if more guests were dispersed in the stores.

My expectations are not very high from TDA in 2013. I will hope that they fix the Matterhorn sleds, but they probably will not. It would be nice to hear of concrete plans for TL to compete with Universal's Potter expansion. What I truly expect is that TDA will overestimate the long term popularity of Carsland. I also expect that they have underestimated the dire state of the economy. Here's to hoping that TDA will have a blind date with reality & do things that will improve both the guests' experience AND their profit margin.

Before we expand Frontierland, I demand that they use all of it first. There's a festival arena going to waste and Fort Wilderness going to waste. I want them to use what they have before it gets more space to be underutilized. It's the largest land in the park and offers some of the least attractions.

Tomorrowland definitely needs a revamp, but I'm sick of the whining about the Rockets being moved. Get over it, folks. The more important issue is the People Mover track, and underutilized Innoventions, Captain EO overstaying its welcome, the dump that has become the upstairs of the Starcade, the Terrace Stage, which pales in comparison to the DCA night party and in all honestly, the Autopia, which doesn't really fit the theme anymore. It's more Contemporaryland, than Tomorrow.

Anyway, to answer the question directly, I really wanna see Tomorrowland get the DCA treatment and come back with a vengeance. I know they can't finish it in 2013, but at least start. This madness has gone on too long.

My next wish is also for Fantasyland. The only area that's immersive is behind the Castle. The expansion will help, but we need more of that. The parade route really kills the momentum of that land for me. It's this huge stretch that has nothing on it. Maybe it's me, but I feel like the land loses its theme here. I wish it could incorporate so many of the films that fit the theme but have been forgotten. I don't think the land's reached its full potential. As for the new show, I lost all hope when I heard it might be an original story. Those are always bad unless, the nighttime spectacular team does them. We'll see though.
