Re: Are they worth anything?
Not for new ones like that, no. (Maybe if you had some from the early days....)
Re: Are they worth anything?
altho i hate to say it, people do sell even the current ones on ebay, things people do to make a buck! i mean altho they do sell because not everyone can get to the park to get a map so they buy online to plan trips, i see the logical side of it..but i think the older maps will go for a pretty penny
Re: Are they worth anything?
yeah I was thinking that in 50-60 years they might be of some value, I just got to thinking about it
Re: Are they worth anything?
Maybe in 50 or 60 years. You get to store them, though.
So, $2 per map? Not serious bank.
Re: Are they worth anything?
haha, Im with you sediment, not serious bank, I guess it'll be cool to show my kids someday if I have some, or maybe pass them along in the family if Im able to
Re: Are they worth anything?
I can only see opening day maps (1955) being a real value. Possibly the 50th anniversary ones in about 50 years from now. I have tons of maps going back to the early 90s. I just keep them for myself as a time line for the resort.
Re: Are they worth anything?
You're not the only one to have maps from 2005, I'd bet. I think you'll value those maps more than any potential buyer will.
Re: Are they worth anything?
I remember buying the 1968 and 1972 wall maps. I clearly remember paying $1.50 for one of them, at the souvenir stand near the entrance tunnels on Main Street. The 1970s maps were especially good because they showed the show buildings of Pirates and the HM and on the rooftops they labeled scenes in them, as well as scenes in the Grand Canyon and Primeval World dioramas and shops on Main Street. I wish my stepmother had not thrown everything away when I went away to college. I'd love to have those on my wall now.

Re: Are they worth anything?
Like anything collectible it depends on the demand. I have maps fromt he 50s and 60s which are worth some good money but even then not much more than 60 dollars probably maybe a tabe more or less. Just depends whose looking and how many for them. I have a lot from the past 20 years as well which arent worth much currently. I like having them all because you can look at them and remember the time you got it. Or in the case of my old maps when they were given to me from my parents who went to the parks before i was born.
Re: Are they worth anything?
i grab about 40 each time they change
i got a LOT time guides on June 15
Re: Are they worth anything?
I collect them too but I never thought about selling them.
I even have two huge maps when SFMM was handing them out (right before Tatsu was added then after) & one huge map of SFDK somewhere too.
Re: Are they worth anything?
The value depends on how much of them are out there. If you think about it, they gave tons and tons of these away for free, so they're probably worth next to nothing.
They are great to keep because things always change.
