Exclamation If there's time for Pixar Play to run at night, so can Electrical.

So since daylights savings time, Pixar Play Parade (which has more than outlived its welcome) has been running at night. One of the big reasons Electrical Parade was taken out was because it would supposedly conflict with WOC, but if there's time for Pixar, there's clearly time for Electrical. If only made as a fall offering, which would certainly not be a problem for most people. So what's the deal? Why hasn't this been brought back yet?

Well don't forget we already have a parade and now and WOC.....DCA does not need the Electrical Parade...I would LOVE it but we don't need it since we have 2 parades....a stage show, Fantasmic, WOC and Fireworks seems like entertainment wise we're good

ORDDU: My sisters and I were just reading something about Spectro Magic on some other web-footed site--we forget which one--which said that Walt Disney World management doesn't want to spend the necessary funds it would take to spruce up Spectro Magic. For that reason, WDW may hold on to the Electrical parade indefinately. But we were disappointed at reading this because we had hoped both parades would be up and running soon--with the Electrical Parade returning to the West Coast, while Spectro would be running on the East Coast.

The Electrical Parade is about to fall apart and wouldn't make the trip back to California. I don't see it on the entertainment schedule in Florida for much longer either. Only downfall is I don't see a nighttime parade on the horizon for Florida.

Ever since the addition of the Tinkerbell float and the new music, I haven't cared for the parade as much as I use to. I would LOVE to see Spectro Magic make its way to Disneyland (although the floats are too large for the narrow streets.)

How is this possible. The Disneyland Resort spent quite a bit of money upgrading it before shipping it off to Florida. Surely even Walt Disney Worlds maintenance is truly not that horrible that the Parade is already ready to fall apart after only a couple of years down in Orlando.

    It's hardly noticeable.

I know a bunch of CM's in Disneyland's Entertainment Tech Services department, and they were very fearful of the maintenance (or lack of) that the Electrical Parade would be getting out in WDW. The WDW team has a very, very bad reputation with Disneyland maintenance teams when it comes to upkeep, rehabs, and their ability to have nice things. It was assumed that if the Electrical Parade ever was returned to Disneyland, that it would need a very thorough rehab to get it back up to Disneyland standards before it was allowed back out on Main Street.

Wouldn't the height restrictions due to the Red Car Trolley wires cause a problem for the Electrical Parade?

Good question. Pixar Play Parade had to return with altered floats and lose Ratatoullie because of the wires limiting the height of parade floats in the park.

You're logic only works for 1/2 of the year. Once Summer comes back around there will once again be the same conflict.

Besides, imagine the possibilities of a new nighttime parade.

You guys can have EMP back, I want Spectromagic back at WDW's Magic Kingdom like yesterday. I want new floats and new music and new effects for Spectromagic too but we'll see about that one.
