I was right in the middle of posting a new thread when yours popped up! :P

I'm honestly a little underwhelmed about the offerings. Three Kings Celebration was already on the radar and the Golden Horseshoe Revue is weekends only. Year of the Ear is more merchandise than in-park event. I was hoping for something every week, but I guess it's good that Disney is scaling down (hopefully to produce a better event) rather than trying to figure 52 things out for a single year.

I was thinking the same thing; I'd rather have some small offerings and some big offerings, rather than have small offerings per week. I'm happy GHR will be here for longer than a day. Let's hope for some really good, creative ideas for the offerings.

I think this promotion is really underwhelming. First, are any of these offerings really going to entice any new people to come to the resort? I think the Disneyland Resort should stand on its own for the next year or two with the new offerings alone.

Ok everyone, we're depending on you to make the Golden Horseshoe an unqualified success so Disney considers making it permanent. We'll be heading to Disneyland just a few days too late to see for ourselves. So sad!

I will confess that I'm looking forward to "A Salute to the Golden Horseshoe Revue".

I wonder how the show will hold up after all these years. I also expect that there will be long lines to get in.

Disney found a niche, and they are taking advantage of it. These are definitely geared towards the AP crowds to sell as much merch and fill the park up for limited times over the year. Smart move Disney.

Disneyland gets The Golden Horseshoe Revue back for a month, while Disney World gets a Trashy Kindergarten DJ Dance Party for a week. So far, this promotion sucks for Disney World.

Is it just me or is the web page not working correctly?
I click on the arrow on the right side about the event and all it does is open the same page in another tab. Shouldn't it open a new page with more information about the event in another tab?

I think the promotion sounds fun, but holy cow. That name is awful. But let's be honest, what was the last annual promotion that really knocked your socks off? I can't remember one.

I will be making a trip from Nor Cal to DL to see the Golden Horseshoe tribute. I think this will be a fairly strong draw and hopefully it is so successful that the show ultimately comes back on a regular basis.
