Re: Barbaraann's Countdown to DCA & Disneyland

The first one that I pass by that doesn't have a long wait.

It would be the train around Disneyland, but because the Main Street Train station is having work done, I can't do that. I say the train, because it is the first ride that I rode on my very first trip there, back in 2005.

My plane sets down around 12:30 p.m., a week from today. By the time I catch the shuttle, get to my hotel and check in, grab some lunch, take the bus to Disneyland, and purchase my Annual Pass, it could be nearing dark. I'll probably enter Disneyland Park on my first night, because I'd really love to see the Remember Fireworks on my first night.

4 days to go. I have set the alarm clock for 5 o'clock. I need to practice getting up early, because that is the time that I will need to get up on Friday. It allows me to be wide awake, and all prepared when Kathy takes me to the airport. I sure hope she gets her car back, so I don't have to take public transportation. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that, and no snow, and hopefully Dusty puts up the more detailed schedule, for the Anniversary, before I leave.

Are you aware that Saturday is early entry in California Adventure at 8 a.m. for Annual Passholders?

This following Sunday the same is true for Disneyland at 7 a.m.

Since I will be buying an Annual Pass, I can get into the parks early all this coming weekend. I hope it doesn't rain, and I can get myself up that early. I love early entry.

Clara, I am an early riser. I will be there for early entry. It is my best chance at riding Radiator Racers. If you want to hang out you text me, and we can then pick the best meeting place. I'd love to see you, and your son.

You may have talked me into it missy. Early entry for DCA is 8am?

That isn't to bad. It's be like I'm getting up for work except I'm NOT getting up for work! That would just be a long day for the boy...but maybe we can leave earlier then.

Re: Barbaraann's Countdown to DCA & Disneyland

I am putting some new game apps on my iPad. Hopefully this time, I will turn off my iPad correctly, so as to not drain the battery like I did on my last trip.

My backpack, and suitcase are super heavy. I am considering lightening the load, but that means, I'll have to do laundry during my trip. Gotta think about that one.

    Just 2 days left.

Last minute errands are on my list today. Hopefully I am ready for everything, considering how long I have been planning this trip.

we just got in last night. Couldnt convince my wife or 5 year old daughter to drive straight from the airport (at 6pm) to hit disney. Didnt really do research so didnt know the parks are only open from 10-8 today. I got up at 5am due to the time zone change because I thought the parks opened at 8.

It is forecasted to rain all weekend (drizzling now), but that is a mixed blessing because it will definitely cut out the number of people at the park.

I prefer a poncho and umbrella vs a raincoat.

I am ready for anything. Got my umbrella, small poncho, hoody, sweater, heavier jacket since I am coming from Chicago. Of course I have gloves and a hat as well, one never knows. Then there's long/short sleeve t-shirts so I can layer.
