I must pay attention to the park schedules, and the closures, or I will risk the chance of missing things that I really want to do. Fantasmic won't be shown, so that is something that I will definitely miss seeing during my trip. The Fireworks are earlier, time wise, and I'd like to see them more than once. WOC is not showing every evening, so I need to pick a night that perhaps won't clash with the fireworks. I got my work cut out for me planning my trip. There's also the parades, Aladdin, and much more. Time to get my notebook out, and get planning.
Normally I don't go into the parks on my arrival, and departure days. However during this trip, I will be able to visit the parks on my arrival day for sure. I see that the Remember fireworks are showing that Friday evening. It's been awhile since I saw those. I believe it was 2 years ago. The same year I went to Disneyland for another of MiceChat's Anniversary festivities.
I like when the fireworks are early. It will also be a bit of a change not having Fantasmic showing during my visit. The Rivers of America at night should allow me some photo shots that I don't normally get.

On that note, when F! doesn't run the boats usually operate longer, into the night which is a rare opportunity to tour the Rivers of America. However the Mark Twain will be down so hopefully the S.S. Columbia will be running in her place. Unfortunately the Columbia doesn't have the great upper deck views, but is an even rarer opportunity to ride at night.

I would see RDCT your first night in case weather cancels it, so you have the other nights as back up.
If you need to see RDCT and WoC on the same night. Watch the early WoC, veiw from the top tier near and isle. As soon as WoC is ending get going to beat the crowd out the gates. It's hard to find a great spot to watch RDCT arriving that late, but take the best spot you find and see 2 shows in the same night.
I have a very long vacation this time, but I am one to believe in the theory that one should do their favorite things first, or as soon as possible. That way there is less the chance of being disappointed.
Today I ordered my Disney Rewards Card. I have about $100 dollars in Rewards Dollars. That will get me a few meals during my vacation. I am glad that I remembered to order it. I should get it in about a week.
I have been looking at menus and I can't make up my mind as to whether I want to make a few reservations or not. I am not a big eater, and there's usually way too much food on the plate in most of the fancier places. I suppose I could order just an appetizer, which I have certainly done in the past.
One thing that I especially like about Disneyland, is that there are many different places that serve breakfast food in the parks. WDW is not like that. Of course, I believe that's because all the hotels have food courts.
I think the photos start 1 hour after park opening and last for one and a half hours. We always had a hard time getting there. We only ended up with 1 photo. It was either 11-12 or 11:30-1. I think it was the latter.
