Many of you enjoyed my trip report last year of our trip to the resort.
I had planned on doing another one this year after we got back from the resort in late September.
However, last year, my son was almost two and my daughter was six months. As any parent can tell you, the older they get the more work they are (and I don't mean that in a bad way). This year they were three and almost two.
I had no time.
So the best I can do is include the following link to all of the photo's taken during the trip. Those can be found here
We enjoyed the trip. We stayed in a two bedroom villa in the DVC wing of the Grand Californian for a week.
We were lucky enough to get 6 day park hoppers online before the prices went up and they stopped selling 6 day tickets. Our villa overlooked Paradise Pier so we got to see World of Color from a somewhat decent vantage point.
DCA was a marvel to behold in person after seeing all of the photo's. None of which do the place justice in my opinion. We managed to venture down to San Diego and check out Sea World as well.
This trip also saw my first ride on Splash Mountain and the Haunted Mansion Holiday Overlay. I love Spalsh Mountain and it is easily one of my favorites (despite my hip locking up on the internal drop. Was not expecting it and I tensed.) I am not a huge fan of the holiday overlay on the haunted mansion. That it is just "ok" is the best I can give it.
Radiator Springs Racers is by far my favorite ride at the resort though and it was well worth the wait. My only regret was not finding the time to do it more than once.
We'll be taking a couple of years away from Disney as we welcome a third bundle of joy into our family sometime in April (another girl... help me... ) and our next trip Disney related will most likely be to WDW. Our future plans call for that to happen in 2015 and then probably in 2017 will be making our first Christmas time trip to DLR. But as always, things can change.
I hope you enjoy the photos. Let me know if you have any questions.
