    Re: Doctor Who

from the dr who wiki site

During the late 1980s (even before the original series was cancelled) and early 1990s (prior to the TV movie being produced), the Walt Disney Company (the people who own Disneyland) were on a buying frenzy and bought things like the American Broadcasting Company, ESPN, and others. Disney attempted to buy the rights to Doctor Who and its video library. Had Disney been sold the rights, they would have set up a walk-through exhibition of what it's like inside a TARDIS at Tomorrowland. They even planned that, when the need came, they would announce who the next Doctor would be at Disneyland during a press conference at Tommorowland (rather then at the BBC news studios like the BBC did).
In the quest for quality, I have no problem with the characters footing the bill.

Not gonna lie, even though I'm not a fan of the show, seeing a TARDIS as a functioning phone booth at the UK Pavilion would be hilarious and awesome.

Love Doctor Who but I'm going to go ahead and say no.

Although a Doctor Who attraction in EPCOT'S UK would be cool, so I'll vote maybe.

How does a non-Disney property fit better than a Disney property?

I thought it would fit, because you know, cameras, set magic, video making, etc...no? Okay then, how about EPCOT's UK Pavilion. Or as said before, an amusement park in the UK would fit. But either way, there is no way such a ride will be built anytime soon.

Only if they are showing how an episode is filmed.

This would really be the only place that I could possibly see it.

Actually, setting up a Police Box at the UK Pavilion would be cool.

ORDDU: There are already too many non-Disney properties that have been bought up by the Disney company as it is and they are diluting the original themes and atmosphere's created by the company. Some may not care about this but my sisters and I do. Disney just isn't Disney any more and we miss the more innocent, wholesome atmosphere of the days gone by.

    Re: Doctor Who

Dr Who has a limited fan base compared to Star Wars, so that comparison would be moot.

Dr Who also carries with it, YEARS of, assumed dorky nerdism as well as lame British sci-fi.

sonic screwdriver? Is that a drink?
