Haha- that was my first thought!
Re: Mickey and the Magical Map to appear at Fantasyland Theatre
So Epic Mickey and Fantasmic...but as a stage show..better then nothing..but I'd rather a normal show based off Beauty and the beast or Tangled...this could be good..but some times these types of shows have god awful dialogue
Re: Mickey and the Magical Map to appear at Fantasyland Theatre
Can't wait to check it out.
Finally, this is going to be my first seeing a live stage show at Disneyland.

Looks neat
maybe fantasmic will be removed....
Re: Mickey and the Magical Map to appear at Fantasyland Theatre
I am not sure Yen Sid would take kindly to Mickey tampering with his magical artifacts if Fantasia is any indication.

Oh I hope not. I would like to see Yen Sid as a character, moving around. Not just a god-like voice off stage in the distance. I've never remembered him being that much larger than Mickey. I might be remembering wrong though.

Looks promising. I sure hope it isn't too corny. Good to see that they are finally using that stage for an actual show again.

Should be a nice family musical review. I wonder if we will get the talking/blinking Mickey for this show?
There are rumors that they are working on a Tangled show, so I wonder if this is just a place holder till some more elaborate show comes?
I wonder if the show is designed to have a holiday overlay for the Halloween and Christmas events at the park? With such a simple setting that relies on the digital video 'map' it would be easy to use the same set or other seasonal shows.

From the rumors I've heard, it is supposed to be. And with more than just Mickey and Minnie. Though they aren't from any real solid sources. We shal see as we get closer.

On the cruse ship they had an animated Ballo the Bear, so maybe some they will copy that for this show?

Man, did you ever nail it. I saw Jekyll and Hyde on stage a few months ago and all those projection screens were.... I mean, in a way they were neat and I respected what they were doing but ultimately I kept thinking "Well, that should make transporting this show around much easier." not "Hey, that's a great stage set!" I should have been impressed with the set, not admiring what a great logistics and financial move it was. You sir, are quite correct.

I'm picky about what games I play but this one gets my seal of approval. It's kind of buggy in places and requires a bit too much running back and forth, not to mention if you miss a goal once and come back for it then it's too late, it's gone forever. A solid 8/10, and all around fun if you're not too worried about pursuing achievements. ( Let the boy dance, it'll tire him out and he'll go to sleep earlier. More "me time" when he's out cold. )
Re: Mickey and the Magical Map to appear at Fantasyland Theatre
The idea seems good, even if it is clip show-esque. Scenic design looks good, except I would rather they use more practical sets rather than a series of platforms and a screen. Hope that the book makes the show different from Epic Mickey. Seems similar. Looking forward to this show!
