I think there was some question as to what was going to be showing at the Fantasyland Theatre. This show is actually something I will definitely take the time out to see. Although I do miss Snow White. But that is just me.

This sounds good. Finally something for the entire family will be placed in the theater as opposed to the last resident of the space.
Thanks for sharing.

the idea sounds great! good for you disney.

Looks like the rumor was correct! I will say, though, the concept art doesn't exactly have me amazed. It looks like no new music will be written except maybe a title/finale song. Here's to hoping the book isn't too cheesy...

Looks nice! Seems very epic Mickey-esque

I always wondered why there is no Yen Sid in the parks as a character. I like him :)

My sentiments exactly. I'm glad to finally see the Fantasyland Theater being used as an actual theater. I only hope that the final product isn't too cheesy. Because from the description released, I could see this be awfully corny and way too over-the-top with the Disney magic element and all the characters. Hopefully that's not the direction that it's headed. I'm looking forward to hearing more details about this.

Awesome! This is good news!
I wonder if they will use the Mickey with the moving mouth/eyes for this?
Re: Mickey and the Magical Map to appear at Fantasyland Theatre
It looks like this will basically be "Disney's Greatest Hits", with the concept of the show basically serving as an excuse to have Mickey experience whatever other Disney franchises they feel like throwing it. Similar to what is done with Mickey's Philharmagic or Disney Dreams - An Enchanted Classic on the cruise line.
Nothing wrong with this, it should be an enjoyable show like the others are. It might be disappointing to anyone wanting a dedicated show based on just one Disney franchise, like the Aladdin and Snow White musicals. It might be disappointing to anyone wanting a more in-depth story to the show. I imagine it will basically be "Oh look, a magic map, now let's listen to several songs from several different Disney movies".

Yet another clip show! Sounds like they took the concept of Epic Mickey and added a clip show element.

Seems interesting, can't wait until more details are released. Hopefully it's something good. With a 5 year old a great show always come in handy when needing a break from the long walks around the park.

Will this mean our APs will go up another $150 bucks? Just kidding..
Anyway, good to see the theater coming back

Actually, I was imagining Yen Sid to kind of be an off-stage character. Basically we'd hear his voice and perhaps some shadows, but that's it. Yen Sid is usually portrayed to be much larger than Mickey, isn't he?
Re: Mickey and the Magical Map to appear at Fantasyland Theatre
This is definitely one of their better original ideas, but non movie based shows tend to be really cheesy and toddler level. We'll see, but I don't think will be be something I see more than once. Hope I'm wrong.
