Fast Pass Return Times to be Enforced In Spring

We were in the parks this week and was told by cast members at multiple attractions that the Fast Pass Return times will be enforced starting something in the spring. I Know Disneyworld is already enforcing their return windows but I sense theres going to be a lot of people complaining. I guess its nice that they are giving some type of notice before they do start enforcing the rules again. wonder if this will make the normal line more manageable.

Hopefully this is true. Fast Pass needs to be used the way it was intended.

Weird because a cast member (Lead) I know told me just this week that it has been discussed and it was determined that it is not an issue at DL like it was at WDW.
They recognize that Space Mountain does have a problem in the evening during busy times but their research indicates that on those days it actually helps during the busy afternoon times. All evens out.
The crowd patterns played a large part in WDW's change. Too hot in summer afternoons = people leaving in afternoon to hang in the pools and water parks and then coming back in the evening with FP in hand.
This is fundamentally different from DL's crowd patterns.
Time will tell I guess and these posts will continue to pop up.

I was told last week, by a CM, that they were going to start enforcing it New Year's Day. Guess that didn't happen.

The CMs I spoke with earlier this week all stated they have been retrained for it, and were simply waiting to be told to implement it. Two did say they were told it would be announced to AP holders prior to taking effect.

We've seen so many rumored enforce dates come and go that I am starting to believe this rumor has no legs to stand on.

Am I the only one that follows the return times just on principle? I mean, I flub every now and then, but I try my hardest to stick with it. Anyway, I'm not sure why they even print the end time of your window if there's no enforcement on it.

I'm wondering if they decided to hold off on enforcing FP return times until AFTER the holidays. If they'd set this up in December as was originally rumored, they'd have been springing something new and novel on both CMs and large holiday crowds. Enforcing it now, in the slow season, makes more sense - they have time to get everyone used to it, on both the CM and guest fronts, before the spring and summer crowds return.

And Pizzapants, I commented on another thread- no, you're not alone. I always ahdere to the return times too.

Just WDW has certain patterns, doesn't mean DLR does/doesn't. Obviously, after 5pm, the parks get slammed as all the AP'ers and locals have the time to visit.

Enforce the times and we'll see how long waits will be.

On our weekend trip last week we had 3 fast passes that we couldn't use in the window due to weather and breakdowns. Screaming, BTMRR, and RSR. This was in a two day period. In other words, even if they do start to enforce it, they will really be struggling to keep track of what went down when. I wish it was an anomaly but I remember something going down every day I've been there for quite a while.
