Disney Art on Demand (poor quality images)

Hi guys,

Recently browsed the Disney Gallery in Disneyland and found a lot of new images in the Art of Demand Kiosks. I decided to purchase my first ever art on demand print! The "Snow White Scary Adventures Mural" from the Realms of Fantasy image library.

I bought the canvas version (biggest one they offer with no frame)

Today I got my package in the mail, and the image has a very poor quality , almost just like a copy from a printer that is running out of color . It looks blurry and pixelated. I am very disappointed with this purchase and they say its "non-returnable"

Has anyone had this experience before with the art-on-demand prints ?

Any suggestions?

I have bought quite a few pieces over the years and haven't experienced a issue. I would definitely contact them and ask for another. Disney customer service is really awesome usually in purchase matters from my experience.

I have never used them, but I would second was biggsworth said and give them a call. You aren't returning, you are exchanging due to a quality issue on their end. Most companies would make an exception for that, so I'd be willing to bet Disney would.

That's disappointing to hear! I've been wanting a few of the vintage ride posters and figured I would just order them from the kiosk if I couldn't find them in the parks.

That sucks. I just got The little mermaid attraction poster on canvas and it is very beautiful. And in the past I have goten the Star Tours mural and Space Mt attraction poster on paper and both have been good. I would defenitly call. Disney is pretty good about making things right.

I've never gotten one on paper, but the Matterhorn print I had done on canvas a couple years back looks amazing!! My only complaint is that it has like 4 or 5 inches of border around the image, but I guess the canvas ones tend to come like that in order to allow you to mount it on a wood frame like a painting.

Yeah definitely try contacting them because this is not normal. I have the matterhorn poster and the red car trolley poster from them and the quality is amazing so I think there was just a mess up in production here.

I ordered the classic image of Walt walking under the castle a while back. The original, and the image in the kiosk was B&W, but the print i received was kind of a reddish B&W. I just chalked it up to "they must all be like that" :/

Is there a site you can order prints and view them without being at a kiosk at the park?

I dont think so. Ive never found one in the years ive looked.

I bought a whole bunch of them on paper when they had the concept artwork for the 50th anniversary and they are all really yellow. That was when they printed them right there.

I also bought a few of the large framed canvas ones that were done by an outside company and they are horribly yellow as well. They look NOTHING like the ones hanging in the gallery.

I chalked it up to lesson learned and won't do it again.

Explain to them exactly how you explained it to us. You're not returning it because you don't like the print, you're returning it because it's a defective product.

I have at least 9 prints I have collected over the years from the Gallery (both from its old and current home) and have had no issues at all.

I would assume that if Disney did not make it right, that if paid for by a CC you could file a dispute?

i wonder if the OP had any resolution to this issue...

the kiosk on demand is operated by an outside vendor, and I seen several paper prints of the haunted mansion stretching portraits. They are very poor in quality. The prints are faded and yellowish looking. Not clear and crisp like the ones on screen. (prints that were ordered by different people and different years)

I was contemplating purchasing the Haunted Mansion Dueling Ghosts on Canvas on the largest size, but after seeing the OP's dissatisfaction. I am very reluctant to go through the kiosk.

I believe the Gallery over Pirates of the Caribbean was a different outside vendor. Maybe their contract expired or disney wanted to go in a different direction with the kiosk.Their quality of prints were amazing.

I purchased several of the Attraction Posters on my first trip to Disneyland in 2005? And when they arrived I was disappointed that what I received looked like someone printed something on a ageing (low on ink) ink jet printer. Like the OP my image was pixilated like when someone over enlarges a photo on their computer.
