Re: It's Sad...News from Disneyland Innoventions

Maybe this should be a new thread, but what does a sponsor get when they sponsor a Disney attraction? I know you get your name plastered on the attraction, but does anyone know what behind the scenes perks are included? Club 33/ 1901 Lounge?
Stalking is when two people go for a long romantic walk together but only one of them knows about it.

They could save Innoventions by letting guests invent gadgets.
Otherwise it's just a trade show.

Hopefully, they'll either turn this into something that meets the potential of Innoventions, which I wouldn't mind, since it's one of the few attractions that fits the land's original theme, or they'll put in something that has ZERO to do with Marvel.

I think the new sponsor of Innoventions should be Stark Industries.

What is your thoughts about this news and how does this change the Marvel ride?
LOL, When I read the headline, I thought it meant Innoventions would be closing as suspected. Much to my chagrin, the sadness is that it will remain open for 2 more years at least. But it makes sense based on other things I've heard. Namely, that Disney has said they want to limit capital spending for at least a little while after spending so much on DCA, Fantasyland, and the Cruise lines. That, AND the proposed $1 billion they're supposed to be spending on MyMagic. A tomorrowland makeover will have to wait.

    No, it's for Disneyland.

That would mean that Disney would be paying itself for sponsorship of Innoventions, sounds like something they would do....

Re: It's Sad...News from Disneyland Innoventions

Innoventions, as an idea, has such incredible potential, but it's not done right AT ALL.

Meanwhile, this just finished up in Vegas, and next year's is being planned.

    2014 International CES, January 7 - 10 - Home

And this year's World Future Society conference is getting finalized as well -

WorldFuture 2013: Exploring the Next Horizon | World Future Society

If they could combine both of these annual events and make them permanent, ever-changing exhibits in the CoP building, free and open to the public, Innoventions (if they keep that name)could be MIND-BLOWING.

There have been pretty certain rumors promulgated around the internet that this February Innoventions would be demolished and turned into an Iron Man ride. Al even discussed this impending project not too long ago.

I'd love to see it, and given that not many guests visit, and even less enjoy, Innoventions, it seems like a good idea to utilize this part of Tomorrowland to reinvigorate this land. Didn't Microsoft sponsor this attraction? Can't see how it helped their companies image as the technology is dated, and out of touch with today's consumer . . . television screen pictures on the walls of the future? Really!?

For an Iron Man E-Ticket, that would presumably involve a track that loops out of the Innoventions building, and a budget around $150 to $200 million.

Yet the big wigs at Burbank have said that there won't be any big construction projects in the U.S. over the next couple years outside of Avatarland and the Fantasyland addition in Orlando. I'm kinda skeptical that this attraction is coming, and I think that the Frontierland project is more likely.
