Re: The Bridge at DCA (Hyperion) has been painted according to Touring Plans...

I liked the old one better...

When I first moved to LA, these massive bridges in the art deco style, bland as they may seem, added an air of magnificence to the area. I don't have any historical context to go off of, but this new pain scheme takes away from that. To me, anyway. Now its just any old bridge.

Ah well, at least I get to drive under the original every time I come down to DLR...

I like it! I think the previous color looked too plain.. now it seems to accent the architecture much better.

Nice change here.. the display windows on the other hand..

Doesn't look like classic LA circa 1937. Looks like Irvine circa 1995.

More importantly, it doesn't look like the ACTUAL Glendale-Hyperion Street Bridge, upon which it is based.

Screws up the theming. Somebody really blew it.

oh yeah! It is quite lovely! I always thought it was missing something. the bridge was never large enough in scale to give off the proper art deco bridge vibe it was based on anyway.

Id disagree. Yeah, the theming isn't exact but neither were the Christmas ornaments they had on the tree this year. The average guest probably won't notice a difference. We just like nitpicking here

That is just plain ugly. I really thought we were finally rid of all the stucco the original DCA was plagued with.

I liked the all off white color like it matched the CCT which just blended really well hopefully they paint it back.

I like it. It seems to have a little bit of that forced perspective effect thing going there, don't you think?

Going for the "One Disney" look . I wonder if good ol Meg, on her recent trip to Anaheim, said something regarding the bridge's original color......
